Some principles in the steel forging material control
- 1.ONLY one kind of steel forging material with the same steel grade and batch number under the same order is allowed to be stored in certain forging area.
- 2.The steel type with different grade will be separated to avoid any misuse. For example, 52100SCP and 52100SCP-SS are not allowed to mixed. FIFO and batch traceability are ensured.
- 3.The flow of materials and parts is secured against mixing/wrong items.
- 4.The necessary identifications/records/approvals are available and allocated appropriately to the incoming materials.
How we control the material quality
Raw materials are carefully evaluated for purity prior to approval for use and continuously monitored to ensure final product consistency and performance.
We check the following of the raw material:chemical composition, macrostructure, cleanliness, grain size, band structure, hardenability, dimension, ultrasonic, surface.
NITON alloy tester will be used to check the raw material. And raw materials are seperated by color mark based on strict requirement. It is prohibited to mix raw material with different heating mode, composition or specification.

YT carries an extensive stock of billet materials and forging metals from quality mill sources. When purchasing raw materials, YT will order to many specifications, ensuring the finest starting stock prior to forging.
On the regular basis, we have maintain an inventory of stainless steel, alloy steel, tool & alloy steel, carbon steel as well as several others.
